The event is part of OPAC's two-year programming series, Close to Home, which spotlights the people, places and perspectives surrounding homelessness through a community conversation. 6 PM - 8 PM Oxnard Performing Arts Center 800 Hobson Way, Oxnard, CA 93030 (enter through the gates where the flag poles are) Event Room: Ventura Room CONFLICT KITCHEN uses the social relations of food to "break bread" and engage the public in meaningful conversation. This event centers on refugees who have made their way to Ventura County and their experiences.
Featuring Dr. Sunghee Nam, CSUCI Sociology Professor and more guests. A simple Ukrainian meal will be served. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. |
