Children's Art with Elisa!
Meditative ARTS!Grades 1-3: 3:30 PM -5:30 PM
Every Monday, Jan. 9 - Feb. 13 Grades 4-7: 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM Every Friday, Jan. 13 - Feb. 17 An art project begins with a creative idea, reducing stress, improving memory and increasing confidence. For children, this means that art activities make them feel good and help them naturally relax. Students will walk away with a sense of accomplishment and motivation to get creative again.
No experience required. Wear clothes you don't mind getting painty. Class and materials are FREE thanks to our amazing and generous donors. |

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
OPAC's Children's Art Program allows children to explore art and creativity through hands-on activities. Classes are FREE and all materials/supplies will be provided at no cost. Thanks to our generous donors we are currently able to offer this program on a scholarship basis. Donations are welcome!

ABOUT ELISA TORRES
Elisa is best known for her colorful whimsical paintings portraying the human body that play with colorful shapes in space. Residing in Oxnard California, she works in different mediums such as acrylic, oil, and spray paint. Elisa brings up topics such as community, social justice, and capitalism portraying people from the community to inspire her work. This past year she painted a mural within the boundaries of Dr. Manuel Lopez Community Garden in Downtown Oxnard. She has also sold various works to Oxnard College's private collection. Elisa is currently working alongside artists and youth living in Colonia to paint a series of murals behind the Oxnard Housing building.
